The Center will maintain a list of volunteer interpreters and translators who may be available as appropriate for individuals or organizations.
Community Health (back to top)
Working with Health Services, the Center will provide referrals to the appropriate health care.
Legal Referrals (back to top)
The Center will make basic information available, and will offer referrals for individuals needing legal representation.
Abuse Assistance (back to top)
Working in collaboration with the tri-county Safe Passage agency (formerly known as Sister Help), the International Center will supply interpreters upon need for counseling or legal purposes. The Center will also provide referrals to Keystone for Substance Abuse Counseling. (Keystone offers classes in Spanish in anger management and alcohol/drugs abuse.)
Connecting Jobs (back to top)
This component will develop partnerships among grassroots community-based organizations, technical colleges, and employers to help unemployed/underemployed people get, hold and advance in livable-wage jobs.
