Hope For Tomorrow
A support group and enrichment class for Hispanic battered women. We will meet for 6 weeks on Friday mornings from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the Family Resource Center, 217 Orange Street in downtown Rock Hill. Call the ICYC office at 803-325-2537 for more information.

Latino Health Fair - Plaza Fiesta in Fort Mill, SC
The purpose of this fair is to inform the Latino population of York County and Mecklenburg County about local healthcare and safety resources and safe practices. The fair will be held on May 3, 2008 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm at the Plaza Fiesta Mall, which is located at 3700 Avenue of The Carolinas in Fort Mill.

International Hispanic Network Conference
A representative from ICYC will attend the conference and participate in a panel discussion. The conference will be held in San Francisco, CA.

Hope For Tomorrow
ICYC held the first Hope For Tomorrow, a support group and enrichment class for Hispanic battered women. We met for 6 weeks with 14 participants.

Spring Extravaganza / Information Fair for Children
Working with Family Trust Credit Union, we had games, classes and prizes teaching Hispanic children the value of money. Forty Easter baskets and lots of candy were given away to the 75 children who participated.

Hispanic Employment / Information Fair
Our annual Information fair was held March 25, 2006. This year the theme was Employment.  We had recruiters looking for workers, workshops on ways to  get better work,  workshops on how you can further your education, and information for parents who have children soon to go to college and what scholarships will be available.

Christmas Assistance Program

Working in collaboration with the Family Resource Center of Rock Hill, Toys for Happiness, and the Empty Stocking Fund we have assisted more than 1200 families with toys at Christmas since 2000.

Senate Hispanic Leadership Summit

Five Delegates from the ICYC Board were invited to represent York County at the Senate Hispanic Leadership Summit in Washington, DC.

This event was held at Winthrop University with 400 people in attendance.

Free Mobile Dental Clinic

ICYC working with First Steps of York County (made possible by a grant) offered a free mobile dental clinic for 40 children under the age of 6.

Directory of Human Services and Information First Printed
